At the moment, it’s discounted from 700 to $550 so that’s starting out good. I like the thumb operated thrust, but as for the breaks, I’m more of a handle disk break instead of a thumb operated one. The safety features are well done, you’ll definitely be on the safe side with this scooter. In fact you should test it out in a nice closed school playground or quiet neighbor so see the different speed. The slow speed truly is slow, I had joggers passing me lol. The standard and speed are fine, and they were honest with the battery life. It is short lasting, but that’s mainly due to the weight, you’re here because you want to save space and have a light scooter to carry around and are just using it for the last few miles from errands or work or campus (I’m guessing). The packaging is very safe and the stand is very well shaped, it doesn’t grip onto your scooter so that you’ll have it force it out, it’s shaped just right so you wont need to squeeze it back in after rides. The lighting on it is one of the good things over other scooters, others will definitely see you in the streets. The security is a plus but I wish it could track it even when it’s far and off, (for those thieves, I wouldn’t mind inserting a cheap monthly sim in it if I could). I’ve tried quiet a few scooters, standing and sitting overs (I owned a few Urb-E’s too), and this one is truly s space saver, and it’s nice that it operates when you need to… (I’ve had a Glion Dolly before, and it was moody, it would only turn on half the time when twisting the hand throttle). So far it’s 5 stars for me, if any drastic safety issues comes up in the future, I’ll update. As a Prime member, I didn’t mind giving it a try, if I had any issues, it was free and easy return.UPDATESI’ve mainly use this scooter to reach my bus stop at work on time. It’s about .4 miles away but I only have 5 mins to reach it before it stops for the night. Most of the time I don’t make it. That’s the purpose for my scooter. It does its’ job to reach my destination on time, but that’s about it. The battery life dropped from 99%-89% in .4 miles. For standard mode (going 8 miles), that would’ve lasted me only 4 miles for a fully charged ride, that’s far from the 7 miles they claimed (I’m guessing they tested it on the pedestrian mode going at 3 mph for over 2 hours). The handling,… on smooth clear streets there’s no problem, it glides smoothly, but if you encounter bumpy ones (like brick layered ones)… you better pay attention to 110%. The handle bar will be hard to handle. The wheel will try to swivel left and right every sec, so you’ll have to slow down to be safe.Folded-up mode. One of the main feature this scooter is nice is the fact it folds up nicely, taking little space and you hand drag it. Well, part of that is true, and the other… not so much. You can technically drag it, but it’s not as pleasant as you’d think. Since it will be on 1 wheel when dragged, it wont be balanced, it will roll left and right behind you with little control. Not all of the updates are negatives. It is pretty easy and safe to dismount when coming to a quick stop. When you want to transport it, you don’t necessarily need to use the folded mode, you can leave it unfolded and “walk it” beside you, heh.So my opinion for now is… there’s improvements to be made, the battery is one of them. If you’re gonna claim to go such a low distance, then keep that promise, don’t hide behind fine-prints saying it technically can reach those distance (if you go at a walking speed). Maybe in the next generation they will address these problems, but for now, this scooter is not a keeper and will be returned.

Context: I bought this scooter with the hopes of carrying it on airline flights. The battery is under the 160 wh limit that most airlines follow. I reviewed all of the E-scooters that fit that requirement, and the Ninebot Air T15 is the finest scooter I found for such a purpose. The scooter is beautiful, well designed. the fit and finish is the best I have seen on such a devise. Ninebot customer service was wonderful when I did a chat session. After trying the scooter here is what my impressions are. the scooter fold system is second to none. The way the handle bars fold down with a click is innovative and puts the scooter in the smallest form factor you will ever find once the whole thing is folded. The Ninebot app works very well. The cruise control function and the multi color front strip of LED lights would make the scooter extremely visible at night. So, here are my reasons for returning the scooter. I ride an E-scooter that has front and rear suspension, which offers an extremely smooth and safe ride. The Air T15 has no suspension and small wheels. I feel it really needs some kind of suspension. Bumps are very jarring. I took this scooter for a short trip around the neighborhood at around 12 miles an hour. Every bump is felt. Also, the level of incline that this scooter can handle isn’t really that impressive. The E-scooter that I use has a 700W motor, so I wouldn’t try to compare the two scooters, but I do feel that such a small scooter would be tough for someone to commute on daily unless the terrain is pretty flat.I am very impressed with this scooter. I am avid about scooters and have done a lot of reading about designs and various styles of personal electric vehicles, especially scooters. This scooter is elegant and cutting edge, but I feel it is a niche item for someone who wants the lightest form factor they can find. And, of course, the looks of this scooter are incredible.I respect the direction Ninebot is going in making this scooter, but for me, it doesn’t have enough of a comfortable ride or a strong enough electric motor for the kind of terrain where I would have been using it.

This scooter caught my eye when it first came out, the design and tech and portability make it really cool. However, at over $700, the relatively short range, etc. just did NOT make it reasonable. When it came up on sale (around $400) I went for it and really liked it, but there were a few concerns that presented themselves right away:1) Battery came 100% discharged upon arrival: I think Segway has been having a had time selling these at their regular price and thus they’ve likely had many sitting for a long time. This is NOT GOOD as a lithium battery should be stored at about 40% charge, and maintained. I was worried it was going to not hold a charge at all. It did, but I was still concerned going forward.2) This scooter has very hard wheels and no suspension. Riding over even small cracks is bumpy. For those cities that allow/prefer you riding on sidewalks vs. the street, it will make for a rough ride.3) I ran it only a couple times, but quite constantly at the max setting as it’s not very fast and thus cruise set at max is really most likely what you will want to run it at. It would not charge immediately after, however: the light on the charge block not turning red instead of green. I couldn’t figure it out but determined it must have to cool off as touching the back wheel assembly where the motor is felt super hot. It must have to cool down for quite some time before it will charge again as it did start to charge after a few minutes of running a fan over it.Overall, if you like tech, design, and quick-folding ability – pulling it with the back wheel down is cool and handy – and you get it on a really good sale, you may want to go for it. Otherwise, understand it is a bumpy ride, the commute will need be short, and you may wait for it to cool to charge it after riding.
