The media could not be loaded. ย I had this scooter unpacked and assembled in 15 minutes. You need to get the APP to get it started but that was no problem. This scooter is very well made and rides better than any other scooter I have ridden. I bought one from another manufacturer on AMAZON last year. This one is far superior in quality of build, and riding comfort. It has air filled tires which make it far smoother that solid tire scooters. The one I got last year goes 5 mph faster, but the ride isn’t nearly as comfortable. The latch that hold the thing together when folded is well engineered and works great. Our other scooter’s latch has broken twice and we have to carry it with a strap. I can get the NIU scoter to go 16mph. (25mph would be better). I think they make another model that goes faster. However, I think most people will find 16mph fast enough. Battery life appears to be good. I can’t rate it on hills, as I live in Florida and where I ride is flat. We take our scooters on our boat and use them when in port as transportation. They would be great for RVing as well. The APP keeps you well informed on the statistics of the scooter. It tells you the battery life, a go riding record, it locks and unlocks the scooter, helps you find dealer, has a fault code directory etc. Overall, I am very impressed with the quality of the scooter. It is no doubt the highest quality in this price range. One note: we had an issue with delivery and it had to do with Amazon’s shipping label, not the seller. Delivery took weeks while Amazon and UPS worked the issue out, it had to do with the label not being properly marked for hazardous materials, aka the battery. Eventually, UPS re-boxed the item the scooter and finally delivered with a note inside the box explaining the issue.UPDATE: I like the e-save setting that only allows the scooter to go 9 mph, it’s a safe feature for those who are uncomfortable going fast or to use in congested areas to prevent accelerating too fast. I also find the e-save mode makes the scooter less jerky upon start up. The e-save option is easy to access, it will display on the bottom of the screen, just push the on button again to add or remove it. Battery life is very good. The scooter has a head light that you can put on when dark, just double click the on button. There is alway a regular low beam safety light on. The headlight is bright and wide street coverage for seeing if you are out in the dark. It has a bell to ring to notify people you are approaching. It also has one hand break but reducing the speed immediately slows the scooter down. The more I use it the more I like it. We got it to take on our boating trips but I use it around the neighborhood when I go to a friends house.

The charger’s plug (that goes into the scooter) broke off inside of the scooter and had to be replaced. Now each time it’s unplugged/plugged in, it feels sort of cheap and flimsy and there’s a constant fear of it happening again. The battery also seems to lose capacity surprisingly fast over time. Got these charged a dozen different times by now, and went from averaging ~23 miles/charge to roughly 19-20 miles per charge so far. It definitely starts slowing down sooner than expected now, and will have a lower max speed for longer before it fully dies.It has a folding handle/neck for easier storage, but it isn’t light enough to really comfortably have to lug around due to the bulk of it.The board length is long enough that it won’t go over speed bumps without grinding into them, but it’s at least comfortable to stand on.Was hoping this could make for a decent commuter option for the summer, but it isn’t as portable as hoped, and the lowering battery capacity has me worried how long it might last. But it works fine enough for semi-short distances in flat areas, but you also might not want to leave it locked out of your sight. Since there’s nothing preventing someone from just turning it on, it’s possible for someone to mess with it or try to purposely drain the battery. There are some options in the app to mess with it, but I’m not the biggest fan of needing to constantly have a phone on/around to get it to work to its full capabilities.

Kqi3 pro is a great buy. Very good quality, parts, acceleration, wheels, brakes. Phenomenal. I do want to point out, canโt find replacement tires anywhere tho, the company seems out of stock at all times. Their specific size, makes it impossible to find third party replacement tires as well. Also doesnโt go 20 mph as advertised. More like 18ish. Please UNLOCK more miles for U.S people. maybe an update that can allow us to go FASTER. At least at the advertised speed. I own a Gotrax and now this Niu Kqi3 pro. Comparing it to the Gotrax G4, this Kqi3 pro is VERY SLOW. Gotrax g4 is $600 and goes faster. Aside from the โwhat do I do in case of a flatโ, everythingโs ok. Iโm happy.

The build quality is amazing! Easy to put together and fun all around. Ensure that you follow the app instruction once you have it set through the app. Itโs an easy ride from there.
