We bought several scooters at the same time. Some from LaScoota, some from another mfr. Overall, the LaScoota cost more, but it was perfect for me (5’10” adult 230lbs). We scooted ~8 miles the day we used them, chasing a family member around Chicago, during the marathon. We traveled on the subway (el) and also scooted from place to place. This unit is a few pounds heavier than the next competitor, but it wasn’t heavy. Everyone who rode both, agreed the Lascoota was the most sturdy. It folds up easy enough. It’s easy to carry. The larger wheels on this unit were perfect for rough, uneven pavement. You need the larger wheels, because small wheels will get caught in the cracks. I felt fine using this. The handlebars on this, extend a couple inches higher than the competitor. My 6′ son used one, and appreciated the taller height on the bars, also. It’s a bit bigger than the next closest competitor, and a bit more, but worth it if you want the feeling of solid, sturdy, tall. CONS: The product description changes, when you put it into a cart. Ours changed from Charcoal to Pink. Amazon Cust Svc looked at it, and themselves were confused. We didn’t know what I was going to get, when it arrived. Thankfully, we got charcoal, matching the original product selection (not the cart). Lascoota has a website contact page, it’s was no help to me. They took days to respond, “if” they responded, and their eventual response didn’t help. If you have questions, contact the Lascoota store here on Amazon. They’re much more responsive, and helpful in their answers. Overall, glad we purchased.

I was looking for a scooter for my work commute across town. Bikes are too expensive for me to afford, as are electric scooters. It took some time to arrive, but when it did I was very pleased. It compacts and opens very easily with just a few buttons here and there. It’s not the most compact thing in the world, but it’s a very comfortable ride for my big feet. The ride is smooth, easy, and enjoyable. A great product at a good price!

Ok, had it about a month now. Got about 20 miles on it. Got it for an alternate to jogging and arthritic knees. Warning: first scooter for me since childhood.Cons: no suspension; with the polyurethane wheels, I feel every little bump and sidewalk crack. I thought the headset was loose but it turns out the folding lock mechanism (pic 2) has a little bit of front/back play, only noticeable when standing still. The downtube stop (pic3), just behind the front wheel was installed backwards with the countersunk hole in the back of the rubber spacer. Believe this was intentional to prevent complaints about the lock not releasing because properly installed, the stop should have a slight backward pressure on the downtube. To release the lock, push the handlebars forward and voila!Pros: plenty of room for my size 10 feet; glides very well; well made and holding up well so far; rear brake works fine when you need it; I don’t fold it so have encountered no probs with the folding mechanism; also no probs with surface changes, bumps, etc., with large wheels. While it looks like the cons outweigh the pros, they are all minor and except for the suspension, all easily fixed. For the price, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

When it first delivered I found it hard to fold but what helped is stepping on the board, pushing the handle bar forward and then simultaneously pull up the red button on the side. At least that’s what worked for me after struggling for a solid 10+ minutes. Now after using it more frequently, unfolding and folding is way easier. Also this scooter helps me get around my university and since I’m able to fold it up I take it inside my class as well.

It’s is a good scooter for adults, but can be hard to fold. I found out if you flip it on its side (like when your sitting on a chair and have the base on your lap, it folds instantly. Be careful while riding near water because the wheels have no grip turning fast and I did fall of the first time.
