Probably one of the most amazing scooters Iโve ever ridden and Iโll go into why and why you need to own this scooter. So letโs start off with why this scooter has so much going for it and why it feels like itโs built to last for many many years as opposed to other scooters in this price range, That feel like theyโre built to last for months. When you first open the box, youโll notice how well the scooter is packed, although it is certainly not the lightest scooter out there weighing in at approximately 40 pounds, when folded up itโs very easy to carry.Assembly is very quick and easy as well, requiring you only to screw in four bolts, with the supplied Allen wrench. In my case the scooter came with a proximately half battery charge, I was able to fully charge it within 90 minutes. This is where the scooter excels and gets very interesting, after riding the scooter daily for approximately 7 to 10 miles, I did not have to charge it until the fourth day. I still have two bars remaining on the charge meter, with no indication of slowing down whatsoever.I ran the scooter through several different scenarios such as uphill, speed, distance etc.Going uphill, the scooter never slowed down whatsoever, in fact I was able to maintain the companies suggested TopSpeed on a 15% incline, I am 170 pounds, so keep that in mind you make a different results depending on your weight.I took the scooter through an off-road scenario as I live out in the desert, in the shock system, is amazing, you will never want to ride another scooter after riding this, as it feels like youโre driving a Cadillac, or at the very least the Cadillac scooters. Going over rocks or uneven ground is almost as noticeable.Top speed reported by Joyor is 34 mph however in ideal conditions with no wind I was able to go close to 40 mph. I was able to maintain that speed for close to 26 miles, riding the side road adjacent to the highway from Las Vegas to the state line of California.Folding up the scooter youโll find that putting it in a car or SUV is very very simple, you do not need a massive size trunk for this to fit in the average car so transport is very easy. The only caveat is I wish they wouldโve included a strap as it would make hauling around just a little bit easier, but thatโs minor. When you ride the scooter you really feel safe just in the way itโs built, and the durability of it you can truly feel the amount of time it went into designing this style, again the shock system is quite amazing. The first two days after owning this I was a bit apprehensive on how well the shock system would hold up not just in the beginning but say a year from now, and I can confidently say that I would trust the shock system five years from now through the design. The three speed gear system is quite amazing as you can limit it down to a max speed depending on which gear youโre in.Over the course of a month I have saved literally over $200 in gas, so from another standpoint the scooter pays for itself if you plan on riding it quite a bit within the first four months.Pros:Very FastLong long battery lifeReputable companyExtremely durableOff/On road tiresBeautiful control displayFast chargingEasy to transportDoes not look cheapFeels like scooters 3 times the priceHandling is superb3 gears for beginner intermediate and advancedCons:Folding requires some strength the first few times but eases up, after about a weekSo as you can see the pros well weigh out the cons, again I cannot say enough about the scooter if you want the best then buy this one, the company itself has been around for a while and they are superb and their customer service. In my opinion this is not a beginner scooter so be very careful, and familiar before going into the third gear setting which is the fastest. Thanks Joyor great scooter, great price.

According to the display, there is a “single drive” and “dual drive”, which would mean having 2 motors, front and back wheels. However, the front wheel does not have any electric motor. This is misleading.Suspensions are pretty goods and I strongly suggest you purchase one with suspensions unless you ride the scooter on a super smooth pavement (which is not the case in NY City).Battery life is mediocre. Never fully tested, but I believe at the most you can get 15-20 depending on the speed and incline.Engine is not really smooth on the start or in stop and go situations.Very difficult to “unfold” the handle bar. The first time was so hard I haven’t fold it again yet.Update Dec 1, 2022I am adding some comments to my earlier review. I have also added one star (from 3 to 4). I have ridden so far 500+ miles in less than a month. I have been using the scooter daily to commute from home to the office (approx 7 miles each way). While my prior comments about the engine and battery stand, the scooter is great for the uneven and not so smooth streets of NY and Brooklyn. The dual disk brake system works great too. The scooter seems to hold it well even in rainy situations / wet roads. With speed 2 and normal riding conditions (some up and down, flat streets, and a couple of bridges) the battery will last about 20 miles, just as previously stated. With speed 3 probably the most you can do is between 12-15, depending on type of roads. Finally, a few comments about the vendor. So far they have been willing to help with some small issues and always replied quickly. The other day i got my first flat tire and they quickly send me a link to a video tutorial. Just waiting for the spare parts to arrive. The vendor also confirmed that model S5 is single motor.

My son loved his scooter but it did not come with clear instructions on how to put it together, and the front tire valve stem was broken when we received it. Other than that he loves it and that is what mealies me smile.

So the scooter is made well. It does get up to 31mph depending on the type of road your driving on and your overall weight, mine (170-180lbs). The brakes work well too. My only problem with the scooter is that it doesn’t get 34 miles on a full charge which was one of the factors in purchasing the scooter. I’m able to get at most 14.5 miles on a full charge and I’m mostly in 3rd gear and Dual Drive. I think its best that when these scooters are sold that the specifications should be accurate in terms of actual mileage instead of “depending on certain factors”. The only way I could see you maybe getting to that 34 miles number is probably being in 1st gear only as it uses less juice. Anyway hope this review helps in making a decision to purchase.Update 12/6So this is the furthest I’ve gone in one trip. This was in 2nd Gear only and Dual Drive. Prob get another 2-3 miles out of it on top of what the display shows.
