I purchased two of these scooters (one on lightning deal) for my family to have fun on. So far we have spent our time in and around the neighborhood, including a few stretches of main road. Even a little off-roading. The scooters look well built and are easy to put together. My only concern was pinching the wires when screwing in the handle, but no issues. The unit powers up each time and has a basic display of mph and power/recycled power. There is also a front and rear light. Brake lights work nicely. The deck has plenty of room and is well suited for a large age range. I would think a 10 year old could ride this fine. It rides very similar to the Lime scooters you can rent. Standard top speed is 19mph, although I had it up to 27 downhill. Uphill it does fine. We have steep hill in the neighborhood and it slows down to 11mph for me, 15mph for my 12 year old. The app is a waste of time sadly. I couldn’t even get it to register. My son could, but it wouldn’t connect – hence the lost star. Ours will be used for vacation ride, greenways and local rides. No plans to commute on it; its not fast enough for that.

This is my first scooter, and I’ve been riding it for over a month. I’ve done extensive research to get the best scooter I can get for under $1000. And this one was my final choice. I skipped the Ninebot max due to it being an older version and costing more. The Hiboy S2 Max has exactly the same specs as the Ninebot Max yet it is costing less. I have let a few of my friends borrow riding my Hiboy S2 Max. They themselves own their scooter and all of them are saying my scooter is much better than theirs in terms of sturdiness and a feel of quality! I use it to commute to places around the city, discovering new places without having to use gas. I have found so many new restaurants and recreation areas normally I can’t do it using my car. In fact, I never knew there are so many nice bike trails around where I live. Anyway, I got unlucky one time and get the rear tire flat! I freaked out and email Hiboy support immediately. This company keeps its promise and offers to send me a new tire! At first, I thought I am screwed! Now I am waiting for the tire to arrive! If you have any questions at all, do not hesitate to reach their support! I am recommending this scooter and I would definitely buy it again from Hiboy. One of my friends already bought it for herself so we can go to the bike trail together for fun.

I like this I really do but from day one my breaks donโt work well and they squeal too. I almost seriously hurt myself and messed up my knee trying to stop this when I had no choice but to use my leg when breaks werenโt good enough. My nephew has the exact same scooter and he does not have this problem with his brakes.I will add that this scooter is not good going up inclines at all. I donโt feel itโs worth the $719 I spent on the lightening deal. Not with problems straight out of box like this.

Very rigid and compact, the battery lasts all day (for my use) and sometimes I don’t charge it for days, really well, I don’t like that to lock it must be on and that consumes battery, and it is a bit heavy to lift and transport, yes it weighs, another detail that I would have liked is that the brake is on the rear tire and not on the front tire, but it is a minor detail for me, but it is super fast and handles super well, I love it, riding on He, I fell in love with this brand, the technical service they have is great, they solve anything for you, mine came with scratches on the rudder and they changed it immediately, then the one they sent came a little scratched, I imagine it was because of the transporter and I They sent another gift for my satisfaction but for them the tranquility and satisfaction of the client shows that it is extremely important…..I liked that, the prompt and timely response and solution from them

I love this scooter. It’s fun to ride and saves me a ton of time on my commute to and from work. The only real issue I have is when I take it on public transit and struggle with a place to stow it.

Good scooter overall. It is my first so I don’t hba e much to compare it to. Battery life is good but don’t expect the stated range, probably half. I think this is pretty standard for all scooters. Ride quality it good for the type of scooter, but I will make sure I buy a scooter with full suspension next time and would highly recommend it to anyone that can afford to spend the extra. Power is better than expected. I ride up hills often and it slows from 19mph down to 8 on fairly steep hill. The same hill most bike go about 5mph. Overall I would recommed the price but if you can spend $1500 get a scooter with full suspension and dual motors.

I’ve been using this scooter for my daily commute for the past week, about 12 miles round trip, and the battery is still more than half full afterwards even on the highest speed setting, so I believe in eco mode (11mph) it could definitely achieve the advertised 40 mile range. In sport mode (19-20mph) it has smooth acceleration and handling, I have no problem weaving around potholes and road debris. The headlamp and taillight are very useful during night rides, providing adequate lighting. In drive mode (16mph) the throttle is perfectly smooth for traversing tight spaces and carefully moving around pedestrians and sidewalks, there’s no suspension, but it can handle a bumpy ride so long as you bend your knees and prepare for curbs and bumps.I’m ~185lbs and usually carry more than 20lbs of cargo with me, and this scooter has no problem reaching top speed in windy conditions or accelerating up modest hills.I considered buying the seat for it as well, but decided against it due to my commute being quite bumpy, with lots of switching between sidewalks and roadways, so standing seems safer and more manageable.I will update this review if my experience worsens but so far I’d absolutely recommend this scooter to anyone looking for something that can handle a long commute.EDIT: I broke my leg riding this scooter, due to it having no suspension it does not handle obstacles larger than a small rock. It’s my fault for not paying attention but please be careful on vehicles like this, scooters are a lot more dangerous than bikes.
