Pro’s- Good battery life- Easy to use- Cruise control is a nice feature!Con’s- Price- Handlebars slightly off center which is an annoyance- Charging problem after 5 weeks – Easy fix but could be avoided w/ better components- Customer service that says they are in California but have a Chicago phone number for 1 guy. All email goes to China.Bought this to use around the neighborhood and while staying at campgrounds. It was packaged VERY well. They make a note to save the box for at least the 1st 30 days. This might have been an omen! Assembly was pretty east but once the handle bars were mounted in the upright tube, they are slightly askew. Not a huge deal but a small annoyance for my OCD. This is definitely a quality issue. I have not found a way to straighten them, but I haven’t looked hard.Rides very nice and smooth. And it goes like mad! 18.6 (19 on the speedo) is pretty quick. Easy to transport and solid. It is heavy. I would have preferred it to be 1/3rd lighter but after looking it over, its rigid frame is pretty beefy so the weight is a good trade off with the solid build. I used it on a recent camping trip and around the neighborhood, so probably 3-4 hours or 20 miles and never got below 2 bars on the battery.About 5 weeks into owning it, I plugged in the charger and noticed the light was green. Usually it changes to red to charge but figured maybe it was warm and waiting to cool before charging. After re[eated charges, with green lights and no charging, i reached out to Hiboy via email. 6 am ET the next day I received a reply that they believe its the charger and would send me a new one. Not knowing how long it would take from China, I bought one on Amazon. New charger and again, green light and no charge.Today I removed the rear bumper and foot plate and right away saw that the connector plug for the charging port was disconnected. It had a big glue booger on it. Removed the booger, plugged it together and Voila! a red charger light and its charging. I taped the connector so it would not come undone and put it all back together. 10 minute fix with a 3mm & 4 mm hex wrench.Overall, I am happy with the purchase although, in my opinion, too much money. I was able to get a discount on Amazon but still $445. It had better reviews than many in the same or lower price point so I spent a few extra clams on this one.

I will add pictures to this review later to back up my claims. When I received the scooter the back left tail light piece of the plastic body was cracked. Not a deal breaker as, for my first scooter, itโs bound to be dumped or dropped a couple times and the plastic body is destined to break somehow. The second issue I found is my rear motor/tireโs valve stem is not in the hole that itโs supposed to reside in. Seems to be underneath the cover for the wheel? Likely will have to fully disassemble the rear tire to air up the tires if anything were to happen. Also if youโre looking to be zipping around at 20 on this thing the whole time, good luck getting more then about 7-10 miles out of it. Also with one rear break you are NOT stopping quickly so be prepared for that too.Other then those issues, the scooter is a nice, intuitive ride. The thumb throttle is easy to use, the display of speed and battery is also very easy to use. The bigger tires are surprisingly good at handling bumps though the tail fender will slap around if riding on gravel or in the grass. My opinion is that this is a good scooter and helpful in finding out if you want to invest into something faster and better.

My commute is about 35 minutes by either subway or scooter. Since getting this scooter I have never wanted to take the subway on a sunny day again. Even though I am a large person (6’3″ and 210lbs) I have felt like the construction and performance of this scooter is solid and powerful. I have been commuting daily about 7 miles each way for over a month and have had no issues with the overall construction of the scooter. The battery gets me the 7 miles at top speed (19mph) and the brakes consistently stop me from hurtling into traffic against my will. I always feel visible even commuting early in the morning as the lights are quite bright, though they do consume the battery more quickly (I still get 7 miles out of a full charge but the battery is usually about to die at the end of that if I’m going full speed the whole time) I got a lighted helmet to avoid this issue and remain visible. I have had 2 issues with the scooter and both came from external forces, the first being a loss of a brake light lens from dropping off a small curb inadvertently; Hiboy’s very responsive customer service sent a free replacement light immediately after I contacted them with this issue. The second was a flat tire which, once contacted, customer service immediately sent me a link for a tube replacement and offered to reimburse me for the part. The only real issue I have with the scooter is it’s lack of power going uphill. It will get you to the top but not very quickly. Usually I find myself kicking up any moderate hill. Again, I weigh 210 lbs and the listed limit is 220lbs so this may not be an issue with a lighter rider. If you live in a hilly area a larger motor than this, or dual motors, may be necessary.Overall this has been a great way to improve my commute and has made my daily life a lot more fun.

I’m am very happy with purchase on this scooter HIBOY MAX 3.It has a very powerful motor that it can go on hills (which other scooters I had didn’t do) and that was I was looking for.the speed is amazing and its very strong long lasting scooter. The wide deck I enjoy every day.I bought my scooter in June and have really enjoyed it as it is a blast to ride! The scooter stopped working a couple of weeks ago, an error code sowed up on the screen and wouldn’t start. so I emailed customer service asking for help. They responded the next day . They shipped me a new battery. Great scooter and awesome customer service!
