Be warned, I bought two of these scooters and both of them arrived with the brake cable too tight to fully finish assembly or use the brakes. I had to use my own 5mm Allen wrench (not included with packaging) to adjust the brake line. If you’ve ever adjusted bicycle brakes, it’s the same idea. They include one 4mm Allen wrench for assembly which is required for the handlebars, but the 5mm Allen wrench is not included. Other than the brake line problem, the scooters arrived charged and with the tires pumped up. They appear to be of good quality. I weigh 175 lbs and the scooter was able to bring me up a moderate grade at 15.5mph on the speedometer.

My main complaint about this scooter is that it does not lock. Like a regular bicycle, if someone can remove it, they can use it. An ebike at least has a lock for the battery that would make the bike useless to someone without a key, but there is no such thing on this scooter. The technology exists, so it would be nice to have.It would also be nice to have a tracking device, which is a cheap addition. Instead, I use a bike lock to lock it to a bike rack (which isn’t easy with a scooter) and attached an AirTag. I should note, though, that there is no place to hide the AirTag in this model. It’s attached with a stick-on holder and is obvious to anyone who knows to look for one. Someone stealing it is likely to just remove it.Otherwise, I’m loving the scooter. It’s light enough and small enough to toss into the car, but sturdy enough to ride without fear.

Get Pedro’s lube, let it sit 24hours, and see what happens. I weigh 200lbs and with backpack including hills in north jersey and through George Washington Bridge into Columbia U went 13.2 miles, thats right 13.2, with one dash left on the battery display. Hit 15.5 mph quite regularly. Sweet cruise control. Tire pressure at 50 exactly. Good looking. Wish it came with some suspension so 4.5 stars. Best value for the buck hands down.

The scooter can last very long distance, and the tires are air filled, so it is pretty steady. The scooter can go up to 15mph(I weight 180lb, if you weight less, it might go faster). It can easily go to those up hills. It is so great for short distances trip, and for those cities like manhattan. The whole scooter is very comfortable and foldable, it can be fit in my closet in my office. It can also fit in your car, if you park too far, you can use it to get to your destination. So great! Definitely worth the money.

It’s my first time to try the e scooter and this product really impressed me. First of first is its easy to install, many items are already assembled when it arrived all I need was to put them together, there was no need to worry about the brake cables and so. Easy to control, the accelerator only works when the scooter is moving, so to provide more safety. LED light screen is clear under sun light, the screen is simple to read.

Edited: After returning the scooter, Gotrax reached out to me directly and asked if they could send a replacement scooter. I was pretty hesitant after all of the issues we had with the first one (I was also afraid that it was a scammer) but the new Gotrax scooter arrived within 2 days and we couldn’t be happier with it. I now get why there are so many 5 star reviews, I started to think those were fake accounts. Lol. It’s been 2 weeks now with no issues and the battery life expectancy range is actually very accurate which we were not expecting as my husband is within a few pounds of the max weight. It’s extremely quiet and smooth which we also weren’t expecting since this isn’t a top of the line scooter. Hoping this one continues to last with no issues!I just purchased the scooter today to give to my husband as a birthday gift, the packing was great and it appeared to be brand new and was charged fully. Assembly was fairly simple and we were surprised by how bright the headlight was. That’s where the good ends. My husband literally rode it to the end of our flat, newly paved street (less than half mile) and back and said the battery was almost dead and the back tire sounded funny. I thought he was joking, then we brought it inside and attempted to air the tire at which point we heard air coming back out from either a hole or defective tire, and charged again for 2 hours which brought it to a full charge that went to 1 bar within minutes not even using it! This scooter is a completely disappointing waste that will be returned immediately.

Hello everyone,The scooter is excellent and drive is very smooth, but someone ran over it when I parked it for a few minutes. It was a big disappointment as this scooter is the only way to commute for me. And that’s the moment when awesome Gotrax support helped me a lot. My sons campus is very spread out and parking makes moving around and getting a good spot impossible. This has been a life-saver and saves so much time. Little bit of a learning curve at first but then it was easy. Like the fact that the batteries are in the post instead of the deck. Assembly was tricky around the brake but that’s what videos are for. Best of all, he simply loves it!
